Lisa Caputo is the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for The Travelers Companies, Inc. She joined Travelers on June 1, 2011. Previously,she served as the President and CEO of Women and Co., a subsidiary of Citigroup, offering financial services for women. In addition to running Women and Company, she was named Managing Director, Business Operations and Planning, of Citigroupâs Global Consumer Group, in 2003. Before joining Citigroup, Caputo was a senior communications executive at the CBS Corporation and at the Walt Disney Company. She was also a contributing editor to George magazine, as well as an NBC and MSNBC political analyst, and has served as a co-host for CNNâs âCrossfireâ, and CNBC/MSNBCâs âEqual Timeâ. Prior to embarking on a career in business, she served as the Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States and Press Secretary to the First Lady in the White House from 1993-1996.A recipient of numerous awards, Caputo is also involved in a number of philanthropic activities and serves as a Board member of several organizations. Lisa is a graduate of Brown University (with a BA magna cum laude in Political Science and French) and of Northwestern Universityâs Medill School of Journalism (MSJ, with the highest distinction).
